The Aliens have landed! Oh no... it's just Herzo's World cup decor contribution! It revolves and everything! Maybe Horsham (MFT) and Herzo (MFGT) have been twinned which means that we now have to have a useless rotating ball in the town centre?!! Just a load of balls if you ask me! LOL! BTW, I was not 'drunk in possesion of a camera' when this shot was taken... I was just diving to the right to catch the huge football coming into my goal! Posted by Picasa

A visit to the "Most Favoured Town"

Darren had to visit his old office in Crawley for some business last week so we were able to take advantage and have a long weekend in our "most favoured town" of HORSHAM (best town in the world)! We caught up with lots of family and friends over the 4 days. It was great for me as I hadn't seen everyone for 3 months, whereas D had been over in March when I was in the States (poor me... not! LOL). We both had a fun few days and look forward to a more relaxed visit in June which is when we are next over. Can't wait to see you all again!

Yay! Toby cuddle! It has been 3 months since I last saw him and it was lovely to see how much he had changed already. He was first on my list of people to see! Either I really do have the 'Mary Poppins' touch or I'm very boring as he fell asleep on me 3 times this weekend! Could be the extra cushioning! LOL! Posted by Picasa

Proppa afternoon tea darlings! Saturday afternoon, as part of Tara's 30th birthday celebrations, us gals went for afternoon tea at a near by hotel. It was very, very yummy! Here is the pic with me are Suzie (my sister-in-law) and Tara, who has been going out with my other brother for nearly 10 years... so she's practically my sister! lol! Tara's friend Claire also came along as is kindly taking the photo. Posted by Picasa

The very beautiful South Lodge Hotel just outside Horsham. It was a superb setting and the weather was perfect! We had gorgeous view over the South Downs.  Posted by Picasa

The view we ladies had while drinking our Earl Grey Tea and eating scones! YUM! Posted by Picasa

When I'm in Horsham, I always have a very giggly lunch with my ladies Karen and Lis (who is hiding behind the camera). Here in the piccy are me, Lis' baby James, Hannah (Karen's daughter) Karen and Olivia, James' older sister.  Posted by Picasa

Me with 3 month old James. He was only a week old the last time I held him! He was born in the January baby boom a few days before Toby.  Posted by Picasa

Courtney, Vicky and Josh pose for a piccy in the Hornbrook. By the end of dinner, that candle has been subject to many wax related science tests! lol! It wasn't me either! Well... maybe a little bit me! :-) Posted by Picasa

Bella Italia... it certainly was!

Over the Easter long weekend, Darren and I took a road trip down to Northern Italy, with some friends, Mark and Zonying. We stayed near to Verona, in a little village by Lake Garda. The weather treated us well and we enjoyed many spectacular views. The drive through the Alps on the Brenner pass was absolutely breath taking! (No, darren wasn't driving that fast!!! lol) Being so close to the mountains always gives me a strong appreciation of "Earth" if you know what I mean. Real natural beauty, this is the Earth that God made, and I have to say... He did a GREAT JOB!
We enjoyed visiting some of the towns on Lake Garda, a trip in to the old City of Verona and maybe just one trip to a tiny, insignificant Vineyard - just for tasting purposes you understand! Oooops where did all these wine bottles come from? LOL! We saw, we tasted and it was GOOHOOHOOOOOD! Not to mention the food! Don't even get me started on the Pizzas, Pastas and Profiteroles! :-) hehehe! Why am I feeling hungry all of a sudden? lol!
It was a great place to visit and I would certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of holidaying in the area. Travel report complete!

Me on the boat trip we took. It was lovely to be out on the water! We miss big waters in Germany! Posted by Picasa

"Romeo, Romeo, where for art thou, Romeo?"
The distinct lack of Romeo and Juliet characters was a real shame I thought, at this quaint old house in Verona. This was "supposedly" the house of fair Juliet, with of course, her famous balcony. Whether it actually was I expect we shall never know! It was very touristy though (duh-HUH!) as I'm sure you can imagine! I would have liked it better I think (although it would have been corny) if they had had someone reading the famous Shakespere quotes, maybe a couple of people in the traditional dress, making it into a play almost... for sense of occasion purposes you know! lol! Perhaps that would be a bit American tho... ahhhhg they've made me one of them! LOL!Posted by Picasa

Sitting on the end of the pier on Easter Sunday. Even though the mist was obscuring the view, it still was beautiful to be sitting by the lapping water. Posted by Picasa
